Green Project Spotlight - Istanbul, Turkey - Luxury Apartments

One of the benefits that Nansulate® technology offers is the versatility to provide energy savings and asset protection over a wide spectrum of industries and markets. Our spotlight is on two Sustainable Buildings projects. Nansulate® is an effective and affordable way to increase energy efficiency, air quality and comfort of a variety of buildings, from homes to luxury apartments and more.

Dr. Vedat Bilgin of Kolorgen, Nansulate® exclusive distributor in Turkey, shares with us below two projects that his team has secured in Istanbul.

The first project involves an apartment building from an affluent area of Istanbul, Turkey. For this application the residents were mainly interested in the comfort and protection provided by Nansulate® GP. The coating was used on the exterior of the building to provide thermal insulation, UV resistance and resistance to mold growth. The coating is low VOC providing an ecologically friendly exterior protective coating that allows the look of the building exterior to remain unchanged.

The second apartment project is a housing association consisting of several luxury buildings where the altitude is the highest in Istanbul. The buildings are facing winds from all sides, all year round. Because they are open to high winds, the energy consumption is very high. Kolorgen is now beginning a case example on the first site building. The complete site consists of several hundred buildings. Nansulate® GP is being applied to the interior of the building for thermal insulation to reduce energy consumption.
