Nansulate® Green Projects Photo Library Green Project Spotlight - Bursa, Turkey - Textile Dye Machines, Steam Boilers & Pipes A large textile facility in Bursa, Turkey began an energy saving project to reduce energy costs at their facility and increase equipment efficiency and lifespan by utilizing Nansulate® EPX, over a base coat of Nansulate® High Heat on textile dye machines, steam boilers and steam lines. The project is ongoing, and initial energy reductions have been measure before the application has been completed. The company is doing a full study on their reduction of energy use at this plant and then plans to expand the project to other facilities. The company first began with application of Nansulate® EPX-K in the natural blue color, and requested a special order grey, which we provided. Special and custom orders are not unusual and offer the opportunity to best meet the client's needs. Nansulate® reduces heat loss, allowing processes to work using less energy, and also makes the dye color more consistent due to controlling heat transfer on the dye machine. The chemical resistance of Nansulate® EPX was also a desirable characteristic to provide tough, effective insulation that held its insulating ability in a steam environment.
