An important and groundbreaking event was held last Saturday in New York City - Green Schools NYC 2009. This event was sponsored by The Green Schools Alliance and the Collegiate School, and is the first city-wide Green Schools Conference promoting sustainability in public and private schools. The event was attended by students, parents, faculty and building administrators from over 100 public and independent schools who were seeking ways to make their schools leaders in environmental sustainability and promote green schools nationwide.
We are proud to say that our patented Nansulate® nanotechnology-based energy saving coatings were a part of this event, represented by our New York distributor, Earth Energy Enterprises. Nansulate® was showcased as an affordable option for increasing the energy efficiency and air quality of schools.
Harrison Monsky, a lead organizer for the event and a senior at Collegiate explained how the event came about: "The idea for the event builds upon three years of grassroots collaboration among K-12 schools to become more environmentally sustainable. The rationale and desire for sustainability exists; now schools want to know how to do it. The resources exist today and it is a matter of connecting 'the will' and 'the way.'"
Mark Kabbash, who presented Nansulate® at the event, reports that everyone was very excited about the technology, and orders have already begun coming in from attendees who discovered our coatings there. The Collegiate School, where the event was held, has already decided upon a target energy saving application and is looking forward to utilizing Nansulate® in their own facility.

And this leads us to our next NANOPIONEER CHAIN REACTION - Send us your school name, and we will send a letter and brochure to them on your behalf letting them know about Nansulate® and the ways that it could help them save energy and improve air quality. Now is the perfect time as schools plan maintenance projects for the summer holidays. If you would like to present the information to your school yourself - we will soon have a cover letter and brochure that you can use - watch for that this week.
Let's work together and help schools save money on their energy costs so they can spend more on the students and teachers!
