Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI)

One of the most costly problems that industries face is maintenance and replacement of pipes, tanks and other equipment. CUI (corrosion under insulation) is a big issue that facilities have to deal with, as most insulations cause this costly problem. Nansulate® thermal insulation solves CUI, by insulating and offering corrosion prevention at the same time. Nansulate® will not trap mold or moisure and will also help to control condensation. Another way Nansulate® can help is by lowering the surface temperature of hot pipes and tanks, making the work environment safer for employees.

Applications

	Pipe Insulation: Nansulate® thermal insulation provides excellent protection for industrial pipes, pipes lines, and plumbing pipes. Easy application offers savings from expensive installation costs - most companies find their own crews can apply Nansulate® themselves. Nansulate® offers protection against corrosion under insulation, while lowering surface temperature (can be used to reduce to safe touch temperature) and creating a barrier to heat transfer. Our protective coating also offers the benefit of being translucent, which allows for visual inspection through the coating without need for removal.
	Tank Insulation: Nansulate® can offer energy savings when used as tank insulation in a number of ways. It will insulate and protect against corrosion, as well as allow your tank process to run more effectively by keeping the heat inside.Nansulate can be used on methanol tanks to stop vaporization. Our industrial coating offers options for application to already hot tanks, allowing you less downtime for your hot processes.
	Food and Beverage: Nansulate® Translucent GP has received the NSF non-food compound registration, making it an idea product to use for insulating pipes and tanks used in food and beverage manufacturing. Nansulate®'s proven effectiveness not only saves energy use but also provides a more consistent insulation, making food and beverage heating processes more efficient.
	Steam Pipe Insulation: Nansulate® Translucent High Heat is an excellent insulation for steam pipes. It can be applied on using a misting method application without downtime. It provides personnel protection from burns by lowering surface temperatures and elinates problems with humidity causing othe insulation to deteriorate. It provides the perfect CUI protection with its combination of corrosion resistance and insulation.
	Copper Pipe Insulation: Nansulate® PT insulates copper pipes with a clear coat, allowing visual inspection through the coating. It provides excellent corrosion resistance, and helps reduce condensation on copper pipes.
	Hot Water Tank and Pipe Insulation: Nansulate® PT is extremely effective as a hot water tank insulation and hot water pipe insulation and will reduce heat loss from pipes and tanks, saving you money on your water heating costs. It can be used on metal or plastic hot water heater tanks and pipes, and will provide thermal insulation without adding bulk. The clear coat insulation provides invisible protection and saves energy.
	PVC Pipe Insulation: Nansulate® GP can be used to insulate PVC pipe, preventing heat transfer, and also providing protection from condensation. The pvc pipe insulation coating also happens to be mold resistant, so you can be assured of a clean insulation that doesn't promote the growth of mold or fungus. The clear coating is easy to apply and provides an effective insulation for pvc pipes and plumbing pipes without adding bulk.
